This lovely country home, which we call here a « mas », is located in the heart of the upper Provence region, at the border line between the hills and the low lands, not far from the cities of Orange, Vaison la Romaine and Carpentras. This is mostly the wine growing region of “Côtes du Rhône”, with delicious full-bodied productions.
The house is stone built, with an outdoor resting and dining area; it is by itself situated in a 20,000 square feet olive tree orchard. While not entirely fenced the plot of land is nicely secluded and provides all the privacy one should look forward to for a vacation.
A covered porch is adjacent to the living room, oriented toward the South-West direction.
The kitchen is on the side of the living room, with a counter separation.
On the second floor you will find three bed-rooms, two of the them with a queen size bed (140 cm wide, i-e 55”), and the last one for two persons, each in a turn-size bed.
Bath room, and an independent toilet.

The shopping area is very close. Mountain biking, Cycling, Tennis courts, swimming in the rivers, and hiking in the hills; opportunities are also close-by: you are not far from Mont Ventoux, and the little mountain range “Dentelles de Montmirail” has quite a reputation as a site for mountain climbing. The next golf course is about 6 miles away. A swimming pool is also available on the owners’ estate, next door.
The area is world famous for its middle-ages, as well as Roman period remnants. Vaison la Romaine, 10 minutes away, is the largest such site in France. It also organizes an excellent dance festival in summer time, in the 2,000 year old Roman theatre. Plenty to see and enjoy while staying in this house.
